We, the undersigned students of the [Semester/Year] Civil Engineering, respectfully submit this petition to request a change of the current elective subject from Earthquake Engineering to Water Resource Engineering for the present academic session.

This request is being made collectively by the entire class, after mutual discussion and consideration of our academic interests and future career requirements. A majority of students feel that Water Resource Engineering would be more beneficial in terms of:

- Better alignment with core Civil Engineering concepts

- Relevance to competitive examinations (GATE, ESE, PSU, State Engineering Services, etc.)

- Greater applicability in practical field work and future professional opportunities

- Broader scope in higher studies and research

While we acknowledge the importance of Earthquake Engineering, we believe that Water Resource Engineering will better support our overall academic development and professional preparedness at this stage of our curriculum.

We humbly request the department to kindly consider our collective representation and grant approval for the change of elective subject, subject to institutional rules and feasibility.
