Proposal for Improved Parking Solutions in Keabsey
Dear All, My name is Emely Gomez, and I have been a resident of Keabsey for 20 years. Throughout my life here, I have observed various challenges faced by our community, and I am motivated to contribute positively to our neighborhood. I believe that with collective support, we can address these issues effectively. In 2023, I obtained my driver's license and have come to recognize the parking limitations within our community. Each residence is permitted to park only two vehicles in the driveway, even if multiple residents within a household own cars. This has led to frequent difficulties in finding adequate parking. Many residents resort to parking illegally due to the lack of available space, despite holding official Keabsey stickers. Unfortunately, this often results in parking fines, which can be quite costly. I propose a potential solution that could benefit the community. There are two parks in Keabsey: one located by Clinton Avenue and another on Glen Drive, known as Rosiet Homez Park. While these parks were once frequented by children, they are now underutilized. I suggest considering the conversion of Rosiet Homez Park into additional parking space to accommodate more vehicles, while also providing temporary parking permits for visitors to avoid fines. I am confident that this initiative would be welcomed by residents and would enhance our community's parking situation. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
